About Blends

Blends is a retail store that specializes in footwear and streetwear. They have 5 store locations spread out in Southern California and a website. Their concept is to have a simple and unique shopping experience for consumers. 

 

Project

Find a solution to improve the online shopping experience for customers trying to find and purchase new products.

Discovery

The Problem

The problem with the current layout is that it is not effective for quick purchases.  Customers are spending valuable time navigating the product page to select a size, adding to cart, and checking out.

Why is this a problem?

For highly desired products, an individual has 2-3 minutes to effectively attempt to complete a purchase before the product is sold out.  For Blends current product page, a user must go through a lot of steps to make a purchase.

Painpoints

  • User must scroll down page to find "Add to Cart" button

  • Difficulty finding new product

  • Hard to read content (font)

  • Small navigation icons

  • Humans competing with 'BOTS'

PERSONA

A proto-persona was created to identify key tasks as well as the desired emotional state for this journey.
